Sidharth Malhotra opened up about his experience working on Shershaah ahead of its release.
Talking about his experience, he said, “For me becoming Shershaah was like a dream come true moment… I think the biggest obstacles all of us face is fear, and Capt Vikram Batra broke that and said it with style and confidence by saying ‘Yeh Dil Maange More, sir'”.
Taking to his Instagram, the actor shared a BTS video from the film shoots. The caption read, “Shershaah | Behind The Scenes…Much love and power to the entire team of Shershaah who put in the sweat & tears to make this special film even more special and rewarding for us! #ShershaahOnPrime releases on 12th August only on @primevideoin.”
Earlier, sharing the trailer of the film, Sidharth had written, “Shershaah trailer…Captain Vikram Batra reporting on duty! The wait is finally over, I’m honoured to present to you the legendary story of our Kargil War Hero.”
Shershaah, helmed by Vishnu Varadhan, is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra, who died while serving the nation and recapturing the Indian territory from Pakistani intruders during the Kargil War in 1999. The film also stars Kiara Advani.
The actress recalled how Capt Vikram Batra’s parents were eager for Sidharth to play their son’s role. They told Sidharth, “you just remind us so much of our son”.
