Pinterest Shahid Kapoor is all set to make his splendid appearance in a mythological drama. The actor has joined hands with Vashu Bhagnani for his upcoming project. He will be seen playing the role of a mythological character for the first time.
According to PeepingMoon.com, Shahid’s latest film is based on Mahabharata. It will depict the heart-wrenching and tragic saga of Dronacharya’s son, Ashwatthama.
The report further suggests that Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani have been planning on creating a visual masterpiece to startle the masses. The film should deliver a spectacular cinematic experience that the audience has seen never before in Hindi cinema.
The mythological drama will be scaled on a hefty VFX team from across the world. It will include many well-known actors from the industry for the rightful depiction of significant characters. Shahid has already signed up for his role and will undergo intense training to appear as Ashwatthama’s character.
Earlier, it was known that Shahid would begin shooting for his next film with Anees Bazmee. The film even starred Rashmika Mandanna in the lead and Dil Raju was the producer. However, due to certain circumstances, Shahid has left that project. The film was about to go on floors in August.
Meanwhile, Shahid is also gearing up for his upcoming ‘untitled’ film with Kriti Sanon. The makers announced on Instagram by sharing a poster. The caption read, “Mark your calendars – Valentine Week! Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan present an untitled film starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, set to release on February 9, 2024.”
The film also stars Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia in key roles. The film was earlier slated for 2023 release, then the date got pushed to 7th October and then December 7. Now, the film has been slated to release on 9th November.
