Disney+ Hotstar had revealed that they will bring seven feature films directly on their platform, skipping the theatrical release. Now, the platform has revealed that ‘Sadak 2’ will be releasing on 28th August. Sadak 2 stars Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur as the leads and is directed by Mahesh Bhatt.
However, after Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, Alia and Mahesh Bhatt have been scrutinized extensively on social media handles for nepotism and favoritism. Mahesh Bhatt had also been interrogated by the Mumbai Police in this case.
Hence, after being at the receiving end of the trolls and comments, Mahesh Bhatt has taken a big decision. He has decided that he won’t be promoting his next film Sadak 2.
A source has revealed that actors will promote it but Mahesh Bhatt will skip the conversations with the press. The source said, “While Alia Bhatt and her sister Pooja Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur would be doing selected media, Mahesh Bhatt will be kept out of the film’s promotions, to avoid answering questions on Sushant.”
Sadak 2 is the continuation of the Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt starrer, ‘Sadak’. The original was also directed by Mahesh Bhatt. This will mark the first collaboration of Alia Bhatt and father Mahesh Bhatt.
