Ranveer Singh‘s much awaited film ‘83’ is all set to release on big screens in this summer. On Friday night, Singh himself took the charge to announce the release date of his film. He posted on his official Instagram handle, “June 4th, 2021 !!! 🏏 🏆 in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malyalam. See you in cinemas !!! #thisis83.”
So now it’s official that the film will hit the cinemas on June 4, 2021. The film features Ranveer Singh, playing the role of Kapil Dev. The film also features Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Pankaj Tripathi, Hardy Sandhu and others. 83 is about the story of how India grabbed its first ever Cricket World Cup in 1983 under the captaincy of Kapil Dev.
Directed by Kabir Khan, the film is a production of Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films. Earlier, it was claimed that the film would release on OTT platforms. Director Kabir Khan had also confirmed that online streaming platforms are offering a huge amount. But after the official announcement by the lead cast himself, it’s quite clear that film will be released in theatres only.
