Rani Mukherji’s next film Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway announced; shooting to begin soon

Rani Mukherji is all ready to bring back her magic on screen with her next movie Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, written and directed by Ashima Chibber.

Rani Mukherji will be seen next in a drama Mrs Chatterjee V Norway, which is written and directed by Ashima Chibber. Zee Studios made an official announcement on Mukherji’s birthday. The project will mark her 25th year in the film industry. It is also the first collaboration of the actor with Zee Studios and Emmy Entertainment.

Talking about this upcoming project, she says, “There could have been no better way to celebrate my birthday today than announce this really important film. In my 25th year in cinema, I have possibly signed one of the most special and significant films of my career.”

Inspired by a true story, the film will follow the life story of a mother’s battle against an entire nation. Rani also commented on how her first film, Raja ki Aayegi Bharat, and her latest one, Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, are both woman-centric films.

The film will be directed by Ashima Chibber and the filming will begin soon. “We are elated to produce this extremely potent drama. To have the inimitable Rani Mukerji helm the cast lineup is nothing short of a coup that has powered us to raise the bar. Ashima Chibber has written an intense, sensitive film & we are proud to back her direction. We look forward to this maiden collaboration with Zee Studios & promise to bring yet another inspiring story to life,” Emmy Entertainment’s partner Monisha Advani commented on the project. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.

Mukerji’s other project includes Bunty Aur Babli 2 with Saif Ali Khan, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and debutant Sharvari Wagh. The crime-comedy is set to release on 23 April this year.
