Ramayana: Ranbir Kapoor & Sai Pallavi’s look as Ram-Sita gets leaked online; Netizens do not approve the pair calls it a ‘Mismatch’

Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi have been confirmed to play Ram and Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, with their first look from the shoot posted online. Pictures of Ranbir dressed as Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita have gone viral on social media.

However, the first look at Ranbir and Sai as Ram and Sita has left netizens dissatisfied. Ram is shown flaunting his long hair and donning Ram-like apparel, while Sai as Sita is dressed in a gorgeous gown, but they do not make a good pair, and viewers give them a thumbs down.

Netizens rushed to the comment section to express dissatisfaction with the looks of Ranbir and Sai. One user said, “Animal jesi film ke baad how can someone cast him in the role of Prabhu Ram.” Another user said, “Sorry bt Sai Pallavi is a mismatch.” Another user went on to say, “Nothing against Sai pallavi but she is mismatch. Mrunal thakur would have been really best option.”

According to netizens, Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of Ram lacks charm, especially after watching his film animal, people fail to connect with his mythological image.

Ranbir reportedly became a vegetarian and even gave up alcohol before filming the role of Ram. He even endured strenuous workouts and physical training to get Ram’s thin physique.

Alia Bhatt was unable to play Sita owing to scheduling conflicts; therefore, Nitesh Tiwari requested Sai to perform the role.

According to rumours, Nitesh plans to film Ramayana in three parts, the first of which will feature Ranbir in a very youthful avatar and will focus on Ram, his family, marriage, Sita’s kidnapping, and 14 years of Vanavas.

The second part will introduce Raavan (Yash) and Hanuman (Sunny Deol), as well as the journeys of Ram, Lakshman, Hanuman, the Vaanar Sena, and the construction of Ram Setu.

The third and final part will feature a war between Ram and Raavan, as well as the return of Ram and Sita to Ayodhya.
