The creators of “Adipurush” released a new poster on the festive occasion of Ram Navami. With the new poster, the prominent cast members—Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Devdatta Gajanan Nage—were shown as Ram, Sita, Laxman, and Hanuman, respectively. The poster received a variety of responses from internet users.
Prabhas and Kriti Sanon wrote, “Mantron se badhke tera naam Jai Shri Ram,” with the new Adipurush poster.
The caption included the words in English, Hindi, and Telugu. They also added the hashtags Jai Shri Ram, Ram Navmi, and Adipurush.
In the poster, Devdatta Nage as Bajrang is shown bowing to Prabhas as Raghav, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Sunny Singh as Shesh. Fans, however, expressed their displeasure with the poster in the comments section “nothing against the actors not their fault. But even the poster doesn’t look promising,” a user wrote. “Don’t waste money for this cartoon movie,” added another user.
One user compared it to the Ranbir Kapoor-starring film “Brahmastra,” saying, “This is what happens when you work without any vision. Brahmastra ke posters aur concept art dekh ke aao ek baar. Dikh jata h ki kitni mehnat ki gyi h. Respect for Ayan Mukerji.”
Kriti discussed Adipurush with the news agency PTI last month, “It is a film that the entire team is extremely proud of. I hope and pray that people will also equally be proud of it. It is something that is so important to all of us. It is just not a film for us, it is way more than that. I hope it gets its due. I have a feeling it will. It is important to make these stories. It is educational for kids. I feel if I had not seen it then, today’s children would also have not seen it.”
