#NoSRKNoDon3 trends on Twitter as Netizens are unhappy with Don 3 cast – Read Tweets

Some fans appreciated Ranveer Singh for the role of Don3, but others said Shah Rukh Khan could never be replaced.

Don 3’s creators presented Ranveer Singh’s first appearance as Don on Wednesday, August 9. The role of Ranveer is introduced in a video that the director Farhan Akhtar posted, and it has split online users.

While some fans applauded Ranveer for his intriguing first impression, others said that Shah Rukh Khan was irreplaceable, particularly for the Don franchise.

Ranveer is seen sitting in the opening of the clip, facing away from the camera. He is spotted lighting a cigarette while also sporting boots and a jacket. He then introduces himself as Don and uses the famous “11 mulkon ki police” line.

Ranveer posted the video on his own social media accounts as well. It was captioned, “A New Era Begins. #Don3,” by him.

Soon after he posted the teaser, a user commented, “It’s ok to reboot the franchise, but using the title Don 3 shows you makers are misusing SRK’s stardom, SRK will always remain the iconic Don.”

Another wrote, “Don nahi chapri Don 😂 Srk had class mate. Good luck though.”

“I love RV… but DON has to be SRK. Honestly the dialogues would have been far more powerful in the voice of SRK,” read another comment.

“Yeh don 1 ghante mai pakda jayega,” wrote another user.

A day after Farhan formally unveiled Don 3, there is word that Ranveer will star in the film. In his lengthy letter, he also stated that he will continue the movie series with an actor whose “talent and versatility” he has long appreciated.

He said, in part, “The time has now come to take the legacy of Don forward and joining us in this new interpretation will be an actor whose talent and versatility I have long admired. We hope that you will show him the love you have so graciously and generously shown to Mr Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. A new era of Don begins in 2025.”

On the other hand, Netizens supported King Khan by starting the trend “#NoSRKNoDon3” on ‘X’ platform formerly known as Twitter.

Internet users appear dissatisfied with the Don 3 cast announcement since Ranveer Singh was replaced by Shah Rukh Khan. According to Twitter users, the Don franchise would be incomplete without SRK.

In 2015’s Dil Dhadakne Do, directed by Zoya Akhtar and starring Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma, Ranveer and Farhan had previously worked together.

Don 3, a movie produced by Farhan Akhtar and Riesh Sidhwani, is slated to hit theatres in 2025.
