Venkatesh Daggubati, born on 13 December 1960, is an Indian film actor known for his work mainly in Telugu cinema. In his 30-year career, he has played in 72 feature films. He has played various roles in Telugu cinema and in two Bollywood films. He has received seven Nandi Awards and six Filmfare Awards. He is an Alma mater of Loyola College and Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. In a career spanning about 30 years, Venkatesh has starred in over 70 films. He is a co-owner of India’s one of the biggest production houses, Suresh Productions, along with his brother Suresh Daggubati.

1. Brahma Puthrudu
Brahma Puthrudu was directed by Dasari Narayana Rao and co-starred Rajani, Mohan Babu, Jayasudha and Allu Ramalingaiyah. It was remake of Tamil film Michael Raj released in 1987. Film tells the story of young man who always want to help the needy. He meets a girl who was searching for her last father and he decides to help her at any cost. He is also in search of his mother whom he lost because of his father’s treachery.

Directed by K. Vijaya Bhaskar, the movie is an enjoyable ride from the beginning till end. The movie is famous for its one-liner’s dialogues, which were penned by Trivikram Srinivas. Drushyam was directed by Sripriya and co-starred Meena, Nadhiya, Naresh and Chalapathi Rao. Film was made with budget of INR10 crore and grossed INR60 crore at box office. It was remake of Malayalam blockbuster hit Drishyam starring Mohanlal. Film tells the story of a simple cable operator and his family. Raja was a family movie, Venkatesh’s stronghold. Starring Venkatesh and Soundarya in lead roles, Raja is a lovely tale of a thief who helps an ailing singer in her problems. Directed by Siva, Raja opened to strong response from critics and audiences alike, making it a huge blockbuster.

5. Malliswari
Malliswari was directed by K. Vijaya Bhaskar and co-starred Katrina Kaif, Naresh, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Gajala, Brahmanandam and Sunil. Film tells the story of young man falling in love with billionaire girl. He is a bank employee and was desperately in search of eligible bride. The rich girl inherited property worth INR 750 crores from her parents but her care taker decides to kill her to get property in his name. Rest of story is how he saves his girlfriend from goons and marries her.
