Disney made the exciting revelation that Mufasa: The Lion King, a prequel to the acclaimed 2019 film The Lion King, is already in development.

This upcoming movie will look into how Mufasa and his brother Scar’s relationship soured by going back to their formative years. When Disney and Walt Disney Studios India’s official Twitter account released the first official trailer for Mufasa: The Lion King, which is a 1:31 minute clip that will give you chills, excitement skyrocketed.


Mufasa’s story will pick up where The Lion King left off. The teaser has already gone viral on the internet.

A cute animated picture of a young Mufasa as a lion cub was posted by GMA on April 28 on its social media network, X (previously Twitter). “Tomorrow, the trailer for ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ will premiere exclusively on GMA,” the post hinted. The picture showed Mufasa jumping happily from a tree, which increased fan expectation.

The official trailer for the movie was revealed by the makers today, and fans are losing their minds! The gripping tale is making many shiver, and they are eagerly anticipating its release.

The makers shared the official trailer on Instagram along with the caption, “A lion who would change our lives forever. #Mufasa: The Lion King, in theatres December 20.”
