Mr & Mrs Mahi, starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, is planned to be released in theatres on May 31, 2024. The film is based on the real-life narrative of former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
The film’s developers just revealed the second poster, adding to the excitement among MS Dhoni fans about the upcoming film.
Dharma Productions has backed the film. On Monday, Karan Johar shared the second poster for Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor’s film, Mr & Mrs Mahi, with the tagline, “It’s time to follow YOUR dreams, the field is yours to own! #MrAndMrsMahi in cinemas on May 31st, 2024!” The poster shows Rajkummar and Janhvi clothed in Indian jerseys with the names Mahendra and Mahima printed on them.
Karan has previously announced the film’s release date with the official poster. In the caption, the producer referred to Mr & Mrs Mahi as a wonderful film that is extremely important to his team’s hearts, and he also stated that it will be released on May 31, 2024.
Mr & Mrs Mahi is Rajkummar and Janhvi’s second collaboration; their first was the horror-comedy film Roohi (2021), in which Janhvi played the ghost. Mr & Mrs Mahi, directed by Sharan Sharma, who previously worked on Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020), is another life story.
After finishing the shoot for Mr & Mrs Mahi, Janhvi discussed her experience working on the film. On Instagram, the actress remarked, “It’s been two years since I first picked up a bat. And now we’ve finally wrapped Mr. and Mrs. Mahi. I thought I’d wake up today feeling lighter and relieved because we all gave more to this film than we thought was even possible. But I feel kind of empty. Like a blank canvas. I feel like we’ve been to war and back and I saw so many heroes in action.”
