The official trailer of Akshay Kumar’s latest thriller drama has been revealed. Mission Raniganj, the upcoming film is based on the real-life story of the late Jaswant Singh Gill, a man who led the mission to rescue the miners stuck in a coal mine. The film also stars Parineeti Chopra, who will be playing the role of Akshay’s wife.
The trailer begins with a tragic event showcasing the mine workers screaming for help and pleading to be saved. While to the other side, Akshay Kumar launches a rescue operation in pursuit of saving each one of them. Akshay will play the role of Sikh, who is an engineer. The protagonist will do anything in his power to save the workers. The mission also turned out to be successful at that time.
A few days back, the official poster for the film was released along with the song Jalsa 2.0. The song is sung and curated by Satinder Sartaaj. The music video features Akshay and Parineeti decked up in Punjabi attires and grooving to the Bhangra beats.
Mission Raniganj will be directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, who also did wonders for the Rustom movie. It is produced by Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Ajay Kapoor and Deepshikha Deshmukh. The film is all set to hit the theatres on the 6th of October, this year.
On the work front, Akshay will next be appearing in the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Soorarai Pootru, which is slated to release on the 16th of February, 2024. He also has Bade Miyan Chote Miyan along the line with Tiger Shroff.
