Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush hit the theatres in 2023. The movie was directed by Om Raut and it was based on the mythological events of Ramayana. While Prabhas played the role of Lord Ram, Kriti played the role of Goddess Sita, and they were joined by actors Sunny Singh and Saif Ali Khan as Laxman and Ravana, respectively. Adipurush had the production cost of roughly Rs. 500 crores and was one of the big budgeted film released during the year. Despite the high-budget, the film received negative critics’ response and the audience’s feedback, which makes it one of the most unsuccessful films of 2023.
Kriti has now spoken on how the failure of Adipurush affected her. In an interview with Filmfare, the actress shared that she was depressed and crying after seeing the reception of the movie by the public and wondered what went wrong. Kriti said they had never intended to offend anyone. The Bareilly Ki Barfi actress said she just wants to continue doing good work and give she’s best to anything she takes.
Besides, she was asked how she deals with criticism. Finally, Kriti said that she embraces any sane criticism that she receives and which can be useful for her.
Meanwhile, Kriti will be soon seen in Do Patti, releasing on Netflix.
