It seems the box office is in for a massive clash in 2026. As recently reported Shah Rukh Khan starrer King is scheduled to be released during Eid 2026. However, the makers of Love & War released an update a few days ago stating that the Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal starrer has been pushed ahead to March 20, 2026, where it will clash with King.
All set to roll is the much-awaited project of SRK, written and directed by Sujoy Ghosh, this action thriller will be King Khan’s first collaboration with his daughter Suhana Khan. The film will produce Siddharth Anand with Gauri Khan as the producer. Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma are also attached to the project.
As per a report by Pinkvilla, King goes on floors in January 2025. The team will be shooting in Mumbai first and then shift to Europe for the marathon schedule.
Talking about the possible date of the release of the film, a development source said, “A film like King is apt for the Eid 2026 period, and that’s what Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand are aiming at. It has been a while since a Shah Rukh Khan film was released on Eid, and this would mark his return to the festival after the historic success of Chennai Express.”
Speaking of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, The film is said to be set against a war backdrop, with a love triangle being its focus.
