KGF Chapter 1 was a big hit all over the country and made Yash and director Prashanth Neel a household name. Prashanth is ready to release Chapter 2 in October 2020. However, reportedly, he is ready to collaborate with Prabhas for another project.
A source who is closely associated with the development of the film told Mumbai Mirror that Prashanth wanted to work with Prabhas since his debut directorial but things didn’t work out. Now finally, Prabhas has liked an idea pitched by him. The source said “Prabhas and Prashanth have wanted to collaborate since the latter’s debut film, Ugramm, and have discussed several ideas in the past. However, things did not materialise then. But now, Prabhas has liked an idea and wants it to be his 22nd film. It will take off only in 2022.”
The film is yet untitled and revolved around underworld mafias. Prabhas’ character will be the person who stands up for the common men. The source says “He will take on a bunch of baddies. The basic plot is along the lines of ‘Ugramm’, but the treatment is more contemporary and it will be mounted on a more lavish scale.”
“It is an unabashed celebration of heroism,” the source adds. It is also said that film will feature top stars from the Kannada and Telugu film industry. Moreover, rumors say that Jr NTR has been offered the role of the don in this action-thriller.
Apart from this, Prabhas has ‘Radhe Shyam’ opposite Pooja Hedge and an untitled project with Deepika Padukone.
