After the historic success of Animal and Kabir Singh, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is gearing up to commence shooting of his third directorial in Hindi. Earlier it was reported that the filmmaker will began shooting for Spirit from the first quarter of 2025 for release in 2026. And, currently, the movie is in its pre-production phase with casting underway.
Now, Pinkvilla has learnt that the director along with producer Bhushan Kumar are in talks with Mrunal Thakur to play female lead opposite Prabhas in Spirit.
Citing sources close to the development, Pinkvilla reported that the movie is one of the most ambitious project of Indian cinema and the makers are going all out to have the best of the actors on board of the film. While Prabhas has been locked in to play the role of a cop, talks in process with Mrunal, Saif Ali Khan, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The latter two actors are being considered for the negative roles.
The media portal added that insiders have claimed Spirit to be one of its kind cop-based action thriller. It has also been said that SRV is attempting to change the outlook towards cop- based films in India.
