On Sunday, April 21, Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan revealed his look in Nag Ashwin’s epic sci-fi dystopian drama Kalki 2898 AD. His actor-son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter Shweta Bachchan, granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda, and many of his supporters were blown away by his performance as Ashwatthama, Guru Dronacharya’s son, in the film.
Abhishek uploaded Big B’s attire from ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ on his Instagram story, complete with the twinkle-eyed emoji. He also reshared the trailer for Amitabh Bachchan’s involvement in the film, tagging it “THE BOSS!!!!” Abhishek also used fire emoji in the comments section of Amitabh’s post.
Shweta, who “cannot wait” to see her father on television, commented, “Just amazing,” on Amitabh’s Instagram photo. Her daughter, Navya, also shared the teaser and her grandfather’s outfit from ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ on social media. She captioned her post, “He’s here.”

Amitabh Bachchan, 81, also posted character posters on his website, along with a comment about how his desire to put the teaser on his blog was not granted.
He wrote, “It did not open here and it has, I believe displayed at 7:15 pm on the TV channel .. but here no sight despite the request…well at times your requests are not followed .. or not been allowed to be followed…(sic).”
However, the Bollywood actress stated that working on ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ was an enjoyable experience. On his Instagram account, he wrote: “It’s been an experience for me like no other…The mind to think such a product, the execution, the exposure to modern technology, and above all the company of colleagues with stratospheric Super Star presence..(sic).”
Santhosh Narayanan composed the soundtrack for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which is produced by C Aswani Dutt and distributed by Vyjayanthi Movies. Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone all play major parts in the film.
The creators announced in January that the film would be released on May 9, 2024. However, there have been no updates on this for some time.
