The filming of Jolly LLB 3 starring Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar has finally begun. The former posted a humorous video from the movie sets on his Instagram account on Thursday. Akshay and Arshad may be seen in the video wearing black robes. Arshad started it off by cautioning everyone about “Jagdish Tyagi aka Jolly BA LLB Duplicate.” After that, it was apparent that Akshay identified himself as the “original” Jolly. There was a last sight of Saurabh Shukla in the video.
In the caption of his video, Akshay Kumar wrote, “Ab original kaun aur duplicate kaun, yeh toh pata nahi. But this sure is going to be a jolly good ride !! Stay with us. Jai Mahakaal .” Watch it here:
Soon after the video was shared, Tabu reacted to it and expressed that she “cannot wait” for the film. Fans also expressed their excitement for the film. “OMG This is gonna be so fun!!!!! ❤️,” one of the users wrote. “All the best sir,” added another.
In 2013, the first Jolly LLB movie came out. In 2017, the sequel opened in theaters. Saurabh Shukla and Arshad Warsi played the key roles in the first movie. Arshad Warsi was replaced by Akshay Kumar in the follow-up. Huma Qureshi also joined him.
According to reports, Saurabh Shukla will return to his position as a judge in the third installment, while Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi will reportedly be seen at odds.
“It’s basically Jolly vs. Jolly, and the entire cast is excited to start shooting for this ambitious film for the Jolly LLB franchise. The team is still contemplating two titles titled Jolly LLB 3 or Jolly vs. Jolly, and a call on the same will be taken closer to the announcement,” a source previously told Pinkvilla.
Prior to this, Arshad gave the Hindustan Times an explanation for his disappearance from Jolly LLB 2.
“I have no idea. I have a feeling the makers wanted to upscale the film. I remember I told Subhash (Kapoor, director) also, ‘You should do it with Akshay. If you want to show a crowd in a courtroom, with me it will be 500; with Akshay, you will get 5000′. Somewhere, the production people realized, ‘Let’s get a bigger star’. People liked to see me, so I am back. People will enjoy seeing me and Akshay,” he said.
Jolly LLB 3’s release date has not been announced as of now.
