Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar announces a new film based on COVID-19 pandemic

In his latest post, Taran Adarsh announces that Madhur Bhandarkar’s new film will be titled ‘India Lockdown’

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar is known for making films which showcase the harsh realities of the world we live in. He is known for putting in extensive research into his projects and makes sure to highlight the serious issues to society. His previous works like Page 3, Heroine, Fashion received a great response from the audience and the critics. Recently, Madhur announced his next project titled ‘India Lockdown’ which be inspired by true events.

Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to reveal the news. He also announced that the casting for the film is underway and is expected to go on floors from January 2021. He tweeted, “MADHUR BHANDARKAR ANNOUNCES NEXT FILM… IT’S OFFICIAL… #MadhurBhandarkar announces his next directorial venture… Titled #IndiaLockdown… Inspired by true events… Casting underway… Produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and PJ Motion Pictures… Starts Jan 2021.” Madhur also re-shared the news on his Twitter account.

India Lockdown, as the name suggests will be based on the lockdown that was imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier this year, Madhur Bhandarkar made it to the headlines as he accused Karan Johar of stealing his title for the latter’s Netflix show ‘The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’. Johar apologised and tweaked his show’s name.
