The multi-talented actor Farhan Akhtar has announced the release date of his movie ‘Toofan’ on the 16th of July through a poster on his social media handles. The movie will be released on the OTT platform Amazon Prime. The poster reveals the look of the actor where he is seen inside the boxing ring full of sweat.
Lately, the actor had been practising many fitness exercises for his look and he had uploaded all the details in his Instagram account to keep his fans updated. As the actor announced the release date, many other actors took to the comment section to show the excitement for the film where Nawaz Shah wrote, “first-day first show”. He even shared the poster on his social media handle. While Dilpreet Kohli, Karan Tacker and many of his fans took to the comment section writing, “can’t wait.”
The movie was earlier set to release in the month of May via Amazon Prime but later had to be shifted due to the second wave situation prevailing in the country. The movie is a highly anticipated and inspiring sports drama that revolves around the life of an orphanage boy namely Ajju who later grows up to be a local goon in Mumbai’s Dongri. It is a passionate story that narrates the journey of a common man, his ups and downs of life to achieve his dream.
Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Farhan Akhtar, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and presented by Amazon Prime Video, the film also stars Paresh Rawal and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles.
