Just recently, it was revealed a few months ago that Ranveer Singh would be starring in Don 3 as the lead role. Shah Rukh Khan played the main character in the first two installments, which both performed well at the box office.
As they anticipated that the superstar would play Don again in the third installment of the film, SRK’s admirers were waiting for the formal announcement about the picture. However, that didn’t happen, and Ranveer was cast to take SRK’s place.
It was recently also revealed that Kiara Advani has been cast as the film’s female lead. Priyanka Chopra played the key role in the first two installments of Don, and even though SRK was absent from Don 3, everyone anticipated that PeeCee might make her Bollywood comeback in the film. However, that did not occur either.
Now, according to Bollywood Hungama, Don 3 is being produced for an astounding Rs. 275 crore. You read correctly! Although there has been no confirmation, if the rumour is accurate, Don 3 will undoubtedly rank among Ranveer and Kiara’s most expensive projects, and the film will undoubtedly determine the extent of their star power.
According to a source who spoke with the outlet, “The vision with Don 3 is not just to compete with action films from India but also to go global on the scale front. Don 3 is Farhan’s attempt to make a global action thriller, and no one is better than Ranveer Singh to spearhead the franchise in the new era.”
Farhan Akhtar, who also directed the first two installments, will helm Don 3. The film is scheduled to be released in 2025, but the exact date has not yet been revealed.
