Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s last movie, Dil Bechara, completed one year of its release. Actress Sanjana Sanghi recalled their first meeting and talked about their similar interests.

Actress Sanjana Sanghi made her Bollywood debut with the movie, Dil Bechara directed by Mukesh Chhabra. It was the last movie of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Today, the film has completed one year of its release. On this occasion, Sanjana talked about the movie in conversation with the Times of India. She also revealed her first meeting with Sushant Singh Rajput and how they bonded within 5 minutes.

Sanjana said, “We met for the first time at Mukesh (Chhabra, director) sir’s office, where we did our reading. Within five minutes of the meeting, we realized that we both are nerds, are obsessed with everything academic, and lived for the love of food! The other common point of interest was Delhi. While I hailed from Delhi, he had studied there. The performances you see in the film are all because of teamwork as it’s a completely performance-oriented movie.”

Further, she added, “The one thing Sushant taught me was to save my energy. He made me realize how important it was to conserve energy by not putting in all of it when not required, for instance, the wide-angle shots. He used to call it ‘rationing’ of the energy.”

Talking about their excitement about the film and promotion plannings, she said, “Sushant and I were excited about the project through its making. We would discuss which colleges we would be visiting to promote the film. We even thought of the songs from the film that we planned to croon during the promotions and wondered whether we would be able to revisit the theatre in Jamshedpur where we shot the film.”

Dil Bechara was released last year on Disney+Hotstar and received 95 million views within 24 hours of its release. The movie was released for free as a tribute to the late actor. It was a Hindi adaption of the movie ‘Fault in our Stars.’
