The much-awaited sequel to the 2019 hit De De Pyaar De is set to bring back the quirky age-gap romance with an exciting new twist. De De Pyaar De 2 is slated for release on November 14, 2025, featuring Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh reprising their roles as Ashish and Ayesha. However, what has truly piqued fans’ curiosity is the introduction of R. Madhavan in a pivotal role.
The original film explored the unconventional romance between a 50-year-old man, Ashish, and a much younger woman, Ayesha, much to the dismay of his family, including his ex-wife Manju, played by Tabu. The sequel is expected to shift the focus to Ayesha’s side of the story, particularly the reactions of her family, adding a fresh perspective to the narrative.
R. Madhavan, who is known for his intense performances in films like Rocketry and Shaitaan, will reportedly play Ayesha’s father. This casting choice brings an exciting layer of humor and drama to the film, as Madhavan’s character will likely find himself at odds with the much older Ashish dating his daughter.
