Bollywood stars Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar‘s much discussed about comedy-drama Badhaai Do, went on floors last week. Bhumi shared a glimpse into the shoot on Wednesday. She took to Instagram to share her first picture with Rajkumar Rao. The movie is a sequel to the National-Award winning blockbuster, ‘Badhaai Ho’. To acquaint the characters of the film to viewers, the actress wrote, “Do mastane chale zindagi banane, Bande saying aur naam ke deewane #SumiAurShardul #BadhaaiDo”
In the selfie, we can see Rajkumar Rao in a new look. He is seen donning a mustache as Bhumi poses close to him. Rajkumar Rao will be playing a solo male cop in an all-female police station an Bhumi Pednekar will be seen essaying the role of a PT teacher.
The actors previously took to their respective social media handles and shared on the new movie that went on floors from January 5. He had shared a picture with Bhumi, where they held clapboards together. He captioned the picture as, “Shuru ho gai hai hamari kahani, Jahan hai dono Raja aur Rani, Shardul Aur Sumi hai ekdam pyaare, Yeh dono hai situation ke maare, Milenge hum aapse jald, Ho jayega tab sab clear aur tab hum kahengey.”
‘Badhaai Ho’ enjoyed critical and commercial success upon release. Directed by Amit Sharma, it featured Ayushman Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles.
‘Badhaai Do’ is directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni. He previsouly helmed the Gulshan-Devaiah starrer comedy flick ‘Hunterr’ (2015). The upcoming movie is penned by Suman Adhikary and Akshat Ghildial, who had co-written ‘Badhaai Ho’.
