The movie “Shaakuntalam,” starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, had its world debut today. Samantha’s Shaakuntalam look impressed everyone, as did the film’s amazing visuals.
Shaakuntala, the daughter of the sages Vishwamitra and Apsara Menaka, and King Dushyant, played by Dev Mohan, are the main characters in Samantha’s film, which is based on the legendary Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shaakuntalam by Kalidasa. It tells the epic love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant.
When Shaakuntala was a young child, her parents mysteriously abandoned her, and she was brought up in the hermitage of the sage Kanva. Shakuntala and King Dushyant first met as Gandharvas, where they later fell in love and wed.
Gunasekhar is the film’s writer and director. In the mythological drama Shaakuntalam, the world is well portrayed. Despite having excellent VFX and animation, the first half of the movie fails to make an impact on viewers. The second half quickens the tempo and makes an effort to connect.

Even though he is not connected to the movie, actor Allu Arjun has a reason to be happy about the release of Shaakuntalam, which stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The six-year-old Allu Arha, daughter of Pushpa, makes her acting debut in the Gunasekhar film.
Through social media, the Pushpa 2 actor on Friday expressed his best wishes to the cast and crew of the movie and expressed his hope that everyone would enjoy his daughter’s first appearance on screen.
In Shaakuntalam, Arha will be portrayed as Prince Bharat. Earlier, Samantha Ruth Prabhu discussed Allu Arha in an interview with Pinkvilla. “She (Arha) is really cute,” said Samantha.
