Akhil Bhartiya Kshatriya Mahasabha demands to change name of Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj

Kshatriya body objects to movie ‘Prithviraj’ and demands for changing the name to the full name of Prithviraj Chahuhan.

Shantanu Chauhan, the organization’s youth wing’s chairman, said, “The disrespect to the great courageous warrior Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan ji, who defended the nation and Hinduism, is an insult to all Indians. The title of Yash Raj’s Prithviraj, directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, is an insult to the famous Hindu emperor. It is both wrong and humiliating not to address such a great warrior and brave son of India by his full name.”

The Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha has asked for The title of the film should be changed immediately, and the script should be approved by senior leaders of the Kshatriya Samaj. A screening of the film should also be done before its release, and any undesirable or twisted facts should be removed.
Prithviraj, a historical film starring Akshay Kumar, is being directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, well known for his TV series. Dwivedi says he inspired the plot of his film on the epic poem ‘Prithviraj Raso.’

“Prithviraj is also based mainly on medieval literature, an epic called ‘Prithviraj Raso’ by the great poet Chand Bardai. Apart from couple of versions of ‘Raso’, there are many other literary works on Prithviraj, his life and times. In addition to these, there are commentaries on ‘Raso’,” Dwivedi said.

The film ‘Prithviraj’ is based on the life of King Prithviraj Chauhan, a fearless and powerful ruler. Akshay plays Muhammad Ghori, a warrior king who battled heroically against Muhammad Ghori. Manushi Chhillar, a former beauty queen, plays Sanyogita.
