#10YearsOfYJHD:- Revisiting ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ as the film completes 10 years

‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ is indeed one of the most loved movies of Bollywood. A voyage of many different emotions, and a journey which follows the life of four friends throughout their Youth. The movie is a perfect package of Love, friendship, heartbreak, Dreams, and Hopes, making it a perfect Slice of life movie.

‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ has completed 10 years today since its release on May 31, 2013. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, YJHD is indeed one of the most loved movies ever made in Bollywood.

Starring Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Kalki, and Aditya Roy Kapoor, the movie follows the lives of four friends, from their teenage days to the time they turned responsible adults.


The chemistry between the main characters, Naina Talwar, an introverted medical student, and Kabir Thapar aka ‘Bunny’ a free-spirited yet ambitious person, is much loved by the fans of the movie.

On Wednesday, the director of the movie, Ayan Mukerji took over his Instagram and penned a heartfelt note about the movie. He wrote, “My second child, a piece of my heart and soul – 10 years old today!” he continued, “Looking back at the ‘memories of friendship, love and life’, he wrote, “I think after all these years, I can confidently say that… Making this movie was one of the greatest joys of my life! And what we achieved with it – with all its perfections and imperfections – is a source of great eternal pride for me!”
