Fans of the cult 2006 comedy Khosla Ka Ghosla have been buzzing with curiosity ever since reports emerged from the sets of its much-anticipated sequel. With Ravi Kishan joining the cast of Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 and veteran actor Boman Irani missing from the first day of shooting, speculation quickly gathered pace around a possible casting change.
The sequel is currently being filmed in Delhi, where Ravi Kishan has already begun shooting his portions. Expressing excitement about being part of the project, the actor confirmed that he is participating in the Delhi schedule and described the script as engaging and refreshingly different. His inclusion, however, led many to wonder whether he was stepping into the shoes of Boman Irani’s much-loved character, Khurana.
These rumours have now been put to rest. According to confirmation from HT City, Boman Irani is very much a part of Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 and is scheduled to join the shoot from January 8. Ravi Kishan has also clarified that he is not replacing anyone and will be seen in an entirely new role. He added that audiences can expect him in a different avatar, distinct from anything he has done before.
As per HT, sources associated with the production reveal that the current shooting schedule will continue for nearly 20 more days. Staying true to the spirit of the original film, much of the sequel’s narrative unfolds within a house, preserving the intimate, situational humour that made the first part a favourite. At the same time, additional locations such as Noida, Gurugram, and Connaught Place are being explored to add scale and freshness to the storyline.
