The date for the 82nd Golden Globe Awards presentation was confirmed on Tuesday by CBS and the Golden Globes. The next Golden Globes ceremony will take held on January 5, 2025.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will air live throughout the country on CBS from 8-11 p.m. ET/5-8 p.m. PT, as well as on Paramount+ in the United States.
The Golden Globe Award nominations will be announced on Monday, December 9.
From 1996 to 2023, the Globes were broadcast on NBC every year except for two. The show was not broadcast in 2008 owing to a WGA strike, nor in 2022 due to well publicised ethical and membership difficulties within the organisation. Billboard reported that the Globes moved to CBS earlier this year.

Monday, November 4, 2024 — The deadline for motion picture and television submissions is Monday, November 4, 2024.
Entries for the official Golden Globe Award submissions must be completed online. The website will open on Aug. 1.
Monday, November 18, 2024 — Deadline for television nomination ballots to be sent to all voters.
The last television airing date is Sunday, November 24, 2024.
Monday, November 25, 2024 — The deadline for receiving television nomination ballots is 5 p.m. PT.
The deadline for sending motion picture nomination ballots to all voters is Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
Tuesday, December 3, 2024 — The final showing day for motion pictures and cinematic and box office success.
Wednesday, December 4, 2024 — The deadline for receiving motion film nomination ballots is 5 p.m. PT.
Monday, December 9, 2024 — The nominees for the 82nd Golden Globe Awards will be announced at 5 a.m. PT.
Friday, December 13, 2024 — Final ballots are distributed to all voters.
