Justin Hartley’s Colter Shaw has found his brother. Justin took to his Instagram to announce that Jensen Ackles has been roped in as Colter’s estranged brother Russell on CBS’ drama series Tracker.
However, no details has been shared on the Russell character yet.
The show, a strong rating performer, received order for a renewal early, which was just weeks after season 1 premiered.
Tracker, based on best selling novel The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver, stars Justin as Colter Shaw, a lone wolf survivalist who roams the country as a reward seeker, using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while dealing with his own fractured family on the sidelines of it.
Apart from Justin and Jensen, the show also features Fiona Rene, Robin Weigert, Eric Graise, and Abby McEnany.
The show is produced by 20th Television. Justin, Ken Olin, Elwood Reid, and Ben Winters serve as executive producers.
Jensen is best known for his role as Dean Winshester in Supernatural, which used to stream on The CW. His role of Dean was also reprise in its prequel series The Winchesters. His other recent credits also includes Gen V, The Boys, and Big Sky.
