Rick and Michonne finally got their deserved reunion in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, however, the franchise protagonist have hugely insulted Lori over a decade after her departure from the series. Rick and Michonne were quick to find each other in the first episode of the spinoff series. However, it took them four episodes to finally open up and talk privately, with the results being unexpected. After nearly losing each other for good, Rick finally opens up to Michonne about how much she means to him. He mentions that his biggest fear is to lose his loved ones as he won’t be able to live without them.
For those who need brush up, Lori was Rick’s wife at the start of the apocalypse but died in season 3. Rick clearly loved her but one line in the spinoff series proves that she was second best to him.
In the episode of The Ones Who Live, Rick admits to Michonne that she is his true love, saying, “You’re the love of my life.” Although it can be said that it might have come out in the heat of the moment, we cannot deny that there were some strong emotions behind it.
