The Good Daughter, a limited series, which stars Jessica Biel has been picked up by Peacock.
Author Karin Slaughter, who is known for penning Pieces of Her, will be writing all the episodes and executive produce the psychological thriller project, from Fifth Season and Brun Papandrea’s Made Up Stories, which is based on Slaughter’s New York Times bestselling novel The Good Daughter.
The package was taken out at the start of 2024, garnering interest and eventually landing at Peacock with a series order.
The Good Daughter revolves around the story of sisters Charlotte, played by Jessica, and Samantha who has spent the last twenty years trying to put together the lives that were fractured by a single of night of violence. When another attack strikes the small town of Pikeville, Charlotte is the first witness to the scene. Now, a lawyer like her father, she is forced on to facing her own demons as the case goes through deadly twists and turns at every corner.
