There won’t be a fourth season of Canadian comedy Run the Burbs. Co-creator and star Andrew Phung shared the news Thursday on Instagram that CBC has cancelled the series after three seasons.
“It is with mixed emotions that we share that CBC has decided not to move forward with a fourth season of Run the Burbs,” wrote Andrew. He added that although the announcement has saddened them, it has also opened up an opportunity for them to reflect to the three seasons they made.
Andrew also shared that he is incredibly proud of what the show was able to achieve on and off screen. He also revealed that they have partnered up with The CW to stream the show in US, for which they are excited.
He shared that the Canadian viewers can still find the season one to three on CBC, while the audience in US can stream the seasons one and two on Hulu.
The series’ third season finished its run in Canada earlier this month.
The CW picked up season 2 of the series in October 2023, but pulled it from the schedule a month later. Currently, there has been no estimation on the timing for airing season three.
