Kim Kardashian’s visit to India took an unexpected turn as she realized the country wasn’t like the Aladdin-style marketplace she had imagined. The reality star, 44, along with her sister Khloé Kardashian, 40, traveled to Mumbai in July 2024 to attend the extravagant wedding of billionaire heir Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. However, their experience exploring the city wasn’t what Kim had anticipated.
During the March 13 episode of The Kardashians, Kim admitted that she had envisioned bustling bazaars resembling scenes from Aladdin, only to be surprised by the reality of the streets. “I thought it was going to be like the marketplace,” she shared, later adding that she had expected a setting similar to the one where the film’s protagonist steals bread.
As they explored, Kim kept her distance from a stray dog that approached, while Khloé was more comfortable interacting with the animal. Later, the sisters took shelter from the rain inside a jewelry store, where they picked out silver pill boxes as souvenirs for their family. Despite the surprises, Kim embraced the moment, saying, “I just feel like Princess Jasmine. This is where I am meant to be.”
The episode also featured Kourtney Kardashian walking in the Run Travis Run 5K to support her husband, Travis Barker, while Kris Jenner reflected on the passing of her sister, Karen Houghton.
New episodes of The Kardashians stream every Thursday on Hulu.
