The upcoming limited series Presumed Innocent, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, on Apple TV+ has moved up its premiere date.
The series, which has been inspired by Scott Turow’s 1990 courtroom thriller, is from David E. Kelley, J.J. Abram’s Bad Robot and Warner Bros. TV will premiere June 12, Wednesday, which is just a few days after its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival on June 9. Previously, it was scheduled to debut on June 14.
As reimagined by Kelley, who is an attorney by trade, the Presumed Innocent series will explore obsession, sex, politics, and the power and limits of love as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together.
Apart from Jake, the show also features Ruth Negga, Elizabeth Marvel, and Bill Camp.
The series will see David serving as writer, executive producer as well as the showrunner. Abram and Rachel Rusch Rich executive produce for Bad Robot, while David executive produces through David E. Kelly Productions alongside Matthew Tinker. Moreover, Jake, Dustin Thomson, and Sharr White will also serve as executive producer. Anne Sewitsky will be directing the first two episodes and will also serve as executive producer. Scott Turow and Miki Johnson are co-executive producers. Greg Yaitanes will also direct.
