Is Hunter King working to make a movie with Kissing Booth actress and sister Joey King?

Popular American actress Hunter King, known for her charming roles in Hallmark films, has a dream collaboration in mind: teaming up with her sister, Joey King, for a Hallmark project. “It would be a dream,” Hunter, 30, shared exclusively with Us Weekly on Thursday, June 20, while promoting her latest Hallmark movie, Two Scoops of Italy. “We’ve talked about teaming up and finding the perfect project for both of us.”

Hunter King, a Hallmark regular since 2022, is eager to bring Joey, 24, into the Hallmark family. The sisters frequently discuss the possibility of working together, particularly eager to portray their real-life sisterly bond on screen. Their only previous collaboration was as enemies in A Girl Like Her, which Hunter found amusing due to their similar looks. She pondered whether audiences would notice their resemblance, but it wasn’t deemed an issue.

Joey made a guest appearance in three episodes of Life in Pieces in 2019 as Morgan, while Hunter was a series regular, playing Clementine Hughes from 2015 to 2019. Since then, the sisters have been brainstorming ways to work together more extensively. Hunter is optimistic that their collaboration will happen and confirmed that they are actively seeking opportunities.

A Hallmark movie would be an ideal platform for the King sisters. Hunter has become a staple on the network, starring in films like Hidden Gems, Nikki & Nora: Sister Sleuths, A Royal Corgi Christmas (2022), The Professional Bridesmaid, and The Santa Summit (2023). Joey, on the other hand, has transitioned from her Hallmark roots—appearing in Elevator Girl in 2010 with Lacey Chabert—to becoming a rom-com queen on Netflix with The Kissing Booth trilogy.
