Fans are hoping Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik will work together in an unexpected way. On March 8th, the “My Mind & Me” singer’s Instagram account was recently followed by the former member of One Direction, according to the popular culture Twitter account Pop Base. Even while it may not seem significant, small things like this have a way of making people speak online, especially since Zayn seems picky about which accounts (now 18) he follows on Instagram.

“Zelena is coming,” one fan wrote on the news. Another supporter remarked, “He only follows 18 people and Selena Gomez is one of them… yup something is cooking. “This is my moment. I have been waiting for this one,” one fan said of the potential collaboration.
Since 2022, Selena has been teasing new music in addition to the Instagram follow. She revealed that she was focusing on her music career once more at the end of the previous year after taking a brief hiatus to concentrate on Hulu’s Only Murders in The Building and Rare Beauty.
In December 2022, Selena said on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, “I’m so used to writing sad-girl songs. But I’m eager to have a good time, and I think people will enjoy it. Selena said, “Maybe next year,” when Fallon inquired as to when fans can anticipate hearing the fun new songs.
Moreover, Zayn made a covert announcement that he is also creating new music. The modification was seen by keen-eyed followers on one of Zayn’s artist pages. “ZAYN is currently putting the finishing touches on his eagerly anticipated fourth studio album.”
After 2021’s Nobody Is Listening, which included the hits “Better” and “Vibez,” the upcoming album will be his first since then. Zayn’s second studio album, Icarus Falls, and his first solo release, Mind of Mine, are among his other studio albums.
