Shalini Talwar, the wife of Bollywood singer and actor Yo Yo Honey Singh aka Hirdesh Singh, has filed a case against him under the “Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act.” Ms Tania Singh, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Tis Hazari Court, heard the case today. Mr. Sandeep Kapur, Advocate, Senior Partner Karanjawala & Company, appeared on behalf of Honey Singh’s wife Shalini Talwar, as did Ms. Apoorva Pandey and Mr. GG Kashyap, Advocates from Karanjawala & Company.

Honey Singh has been served with a summons to appear in court on August 28, 2021, and interim orders have been imposed in favour of Shalini Talwar, preventing Honey Singh from disposing of his jointly owned property, his wife’s Stridhan, and other assets.
Honey Singh first presented his wife to the public in 2014 on an episode of the reality show India’s Rawstar. Many people were surprised to learn that he married before appearing in Bollywood blockbusters.
After his song Angrezi Beat from the Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan film Cocktail became a smash hit, Yo Yo Honey Singh became a household celebrity. In 2011, the song reached the top of the charts. The singer is well-known for his upbeat songs.
