Yash Raj Films denies rumours of Shah Rukh Khan playing Yash Chopra in his biopic

Yash Raj Films, which recently completed its golden jubilee has denied rumours; informed the folks that no biopic of Yash Chopra is being planned as of now.

The rumours of Shah Rukh Khan  being considered for the lead role in the biopic of late director and producer Yash Raj, have been officially put to an end.

Releasing an official statement, YRF clarified that, “There has been a lot of speculation about Aditya Chopra planning to make a biopic on his late father, the legendary Yash Chopra. We can officially tell you that this news is absolutely untrue and a figment of imagination. This is a baseless rumour. There are absolutely no plans to make a biopic on Yash Chopra ji.”

It was YRF which established Shah Rukh Khan as the “King of Romance” and gave his iconic pose from DDLJ (Diwale Dulhania Le Jayenge).

YRF was set up by Yash Chopra in 1970 and celebrated the golden jubilee of its film making journey a few days ago. Aditya Chopra gave the credit for this successful journey of 50 years to everyone to has been part of it, from actors, directors, writers, choreographers to every crew member and the audience. He also expressed his gratitude to the welcoming nature of the industry which made them successful. Aditya Chopra released a new logo of YRF to mark their five decades-long journey in the Indian film industry.
