
Yesterday evening was a memorable and historic day for Bollywood and Indian cinema, as the 69th National Film Awards were held. Allu Arjun, along with Kriti Sanon, Alia Bhatt, and many other actors, were well-deserved winners. They were all nominated for Best Actor for their roles in their respective flicks. Allu now wrote a sincere statement, reflecting on the event and praising fellow actors.
Finally, he declared his desire to work with Kriti Sanon. His note read, “It was a lifetime experience to witness Shri Waheeda Rehman ji win the Dadasaheb Phalke award. More than 6 decades of career in films. Truly inspiring. It was an absolute pleasure to see dear @aliaabhatt win this award.”
He added, “Iconic performance for an iconic film. Truly deserving and many more. It was a pleasure having the company of dear @kritisanon. A well-deserved award for a league jumper performance. What a lovely lady. Wishing her more on this journey. And hopefully a movie together soon.”
Allu Arjun was named Best Actor for his work in Pushpa: The Rise. With the triumph, the actor made history by being the first Telugu actor to win the National Award for Best Actor.
Allu Arjun talked to the media before of the ceremony, saying, “I am happy that I am receiving this award, and receiving it for a commercial film is a double achievement for me personally.” Pushpa also received the award for Best Music Director (Songs) in addition to Best Actor.
Kriti Sanon shared a picture with actor along with the caption. “It was a pleasure to share this very special moment with you. @alluarjunonline!! I’ve always admired you as an actor, and now for the amazingly warm and profound person you are!”
She further added, “May we meet at the same place again! (And ofcourse get to work together super soon!)
