When and Where to watch Ishura anime? Here’s what we know

The fantasy world of Ishura has fascinated all anime enthusiasts with its thrilling plot and diverse characters. Debuting as a television series this year on the 3rd of January, the anime has been buzzing all over the place.

Based on a light novel series by Keiso, it was published by ASCII Media Works. It has nine volumes in total. Later on, a manga adaption was also made which was serialized in Monthly Shonen Magazine of Kodansha. The manga series was published on the 5th of March, 2021. It has three volumes in total.


The story follows the imaginary land of demons and gods. As the demon god is dead, the Shuras (demi-god) who are capable of felling him are fighting amongst themselves. They are free to do whatever they wish and are now combating to find out who’s the real hero of all.

Unfortunately, Ishura is not available to watch on Crunchyroll. It is exclusively available to stream on Hulu in the US. For audiences outside of the United States, it is available on Disney Plus except for Latin America. Star Plus has reserved the streaming rights in Latin America.

Currently, the 8th episode is running with the weekly release schedule. The anime releases every episode on Wednesday at 11:30 pm JST on Tokyo MX. Every episode premiers with English subtitles. However, no information has been given regarding the English dubbed version.

Ishura is not available to stream on Crunchyroll and Netflix. While in Japan, the series is streaming on Tokyo MX and other affiliated networks.
