Abdu Rozik, a Tajikistani artist and Bigg Boss 16 contestant, amazed everyone on Thursday when he announced his wedding date. He announced on his official Instagram account that he is getting married on July 7.
According to reports, the musician and social media phenomenon plans to marry a girl from Sharjah, UAE. Shortly after he uploaded the post, his fans and followers filled the comments section with congratulations.
However, Abdu’s Bigg Boss 16 co-contestant and close friend Shiv Thakare believes the wedding announcement is just a prank.
Shiv said he had not heard of Abdu’s wedding. Shiv told News 18 that he spoke with Abdu a few hours ago, but the singer made no mention of his big day.
Sharing a video, he expressed his excitement and wrote, “I never imagined in my life that I will be so lucky to find a love who respects me and is not burdened by the obstacles in my life 7th of July save the date !! 💍 I cannot express to you in words how happy I am.”
“I have no idea about it. I don’t know who the girl is. Got to know it via social media only. Rather, I spoke to Abdu just 30 minutes back (Thursday night), and he didn’t mention anything about the wedding. Don’t know if these reports are false,” Shiv told the news portal. Abdu used his official Instagram account to share the good news with his friends and followers.
According to the Khaleej Times, Abdu recently got engaged, but the details were kept private. According to the article, Abdu will marry Amira, an Emirati girl from Sharjah. Abdu is 20 years old, and Amira is 19.
Abdu apparently met his future wife at a Dubai mall in February 2024.
Abdu has a large fan base in India, and they like him for his friendly demeanour and humorous videos. Since the finale of Bigg Boss 16, he has spent the majority of his time in India. He has also recorded a few tracks in Mumbai and may be seen at various events and parties there.
He rose to prominence following his appearance on Salman Khan’s controversial reality show. He was one of the most popular contestants in the house, and his relationship with other contestants Shiv and Sajid Khan had become the buzz of the town.
