Several Bollywood celebrities have recently fallen victim to deepfake technology, which is being used by criminals to support the political parties of their choice, as the Lok Sabha elections draw near.
A doctored video of Ranveer Singh has gone viral, following the success of a video of Aamir Khan that surfaced recently and showed him campaigning for the Congress.
In the video, Ranveer is seen making fun of the administration headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and declaring that the goal of the ruling party is to celebrate the suffering, issues, and unemployment that the people of the nation face.

He urges viewers to choose the correct party as the film comes to a close, and the slogan “Vote for Congress” flashes on the screen.
Nevertheless, the video is obviously fake and has been altered, as can be seen by looking for the typical warning indicators. The lip movements of Ranveer do not correspond with the audio, and the clip utilised is from the actor’s recent visit to Kashi, where he was observed complimenting PM Modi on the ‘City of Ghats’ makeover.

Ranveer has not yet made a formal announcement on the matter.
Just a few days prior, a video purporting to show Aamir Khan endorsing a particular political party went popular on the internet, prompting him to file a formal complaint with the Mumbai Police cyber cell.
Additionally, the actor’s representatives emphasised that he has never supported a particular political party in his professional life and encouraged young people to vote properly.
