Smt. Nita Mukesh Ambani, the founder and chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, visited the historic Maa Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, Assam, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
Seeking the blessings of one of the oldest and most sacred Shakti Peethas, she performed the “Shakti Puja” under the guidance of the temple priests. Her visit comes at a crucial time for the Mumbai Indians, as the team prepares for their high-stakes IPL 2026 match against the Rajasthan Royals.
Dressed in an elegant rani pink silk suit with intricate gold brocade embroidery, Nita Ambani arrived with her mother, Purnima Dalal. While her spiritual devotion was the focus, her deep-rooted values of sarva jeev daya (compassion for all living beings) were on full display. During her visit, she was seen interacting warmly with local children and personally feeding the goats within the temple premises, a gesture that reflects her belief in kindness toward all life.
“Every living being deserves care and humanity,” she remarked while greeting devotees. This blend of tradition and compassion has long been a hallmark of her public life, from her work with the Reliance Foundation to her support for animal welfare initiatives.
