Bollywood diva Janhvi Kapoor is currently promoting her upcoming film, Mr & Mrs Mahi, and as she stepped out for an event in the city on Thursday, she was seen schooling the paparazzi, who have recently come under fire for capturing actresses in awkward moments.
In a video that has since gone viral, Janhvi can be seen urging paparazzi not to film her from “wrong angles”. “Aap na galat galat angles mat liya kijiye please,” she says to the paparazzi before leaving the scene.
Janhvi looked stunning in a red body-hugging dress, which she accessorised with miniature cricket balls on the back, as her film Mr & Mrs Mahi is also about cricket.
Netizens also rallied in support of Janhvi and chastised photographers for filming actors from unusual angles and releasing the images on social media.
This is not the first time Janhvi has urged the paparazzi not to photograph her from the improper perspective. A few days ago, as she headed out for an event in the city, she was seen becoming uncomfortable and politely begging the paparazzi not to photograph or record her from behind.
Not only has Janhvi criticised the paparazzi for taking shots from behind, but several other celebrities, like Ayesha Khan, Mrunal Thakur, Nyra Banerjee, and others, have recently refused to turn their backs to their cameras.
Meanwhile, Mr & Mrs Mahi is due to reach theatres on May 31, reuniting Janhvi with her Roohi co-star Rajkummar Rao. While little is known about the film, the plot appears to revolve around a couple and the challenges they face in pursuing their dream of being cricketers.
