Influencer and content creator Viraj Ghelani, who recently made his acting debut with Dharma Productions’ film Govinda Naam Mera, shared that he was miffed about not being invited to the trailer launch of the movie, headlined by Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, and Kiara Advani. Now, Viraj says he asked his followers to bombard the comments section of the trailer with his name as a way to get his “revenge”. Matters had reached such a pitch that the chiefs at Dharma noticed this and had to call Viraj and request him to get his followers to desist.
Recently featured on the podcast The Having Said That Show, Viraj referred to one of his memories from the set of Govinda Naam Mera and said, “I feel they didn’t take me to any trailer launch or all these things because like ‘Isko kyu leke jayenge.” At this point, when asked why by the hosts of the podcast, Viraj, without letting them complete the question, said that they would not repeat the same mistake.
“Now they will [take me], I will tell you why. Because I felt ‘Yeh log kyu aisa kar rahe hain’? Then I had the power of Instagram, so I just went on my social media and said whenever the trailer drops, everyone of you guys has to just go on Dharma’s YouTube channel and just say ‘Here for Viraj’. There were around 1250-2000 comments that only said ‘Here for Viraj’,” he confessed with a laugh.
Just after this happened, a call came from Dharma to make this stop revealed Viraj. “I got a call from Dharma saying ‘Please isko stop kara’. I said ‘f**k, do not mess with Gujaratis’.”
