Vijay Deverakonda dismisses rumours of ‘Liger’ being offered Rs.200 crore for OTT release, says it is ‘too little’

‘Arjun Reddy’ famed actor Vijay Deverakonda took to Twitter and vacuumed the rumours that claimed the makers are expected to release the movie on OTT platform for Rs.200 crores.

South actor Vijay Deverakonda has trashed the news that his upcoming pan-India film ‘Liger’ is leading to a digital platform for its release. The which will also star Ananya Pandey, is being helmed by Puri Jagannadh.

In his reaction to this news, Vijay shared a tweet from a fan-based and wrote, “Too little. I’ll do more in the theatres.” To cater to the audience all over India, the movie is being simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu.

There has been assumption performing rounds in the fora that the producers of Liger seemingly accepted a 200 crore deal for a direct-OTT release. However, Vijay put a full stop to the rumours with his quirky tweet on Monday.

The wildly-awaited movie is slated to release in cinema halls in India on September 9 in five different Indian languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The actor who earned many hearts with his performance as Arjun in ‘Arjun Reddy’ is playing a role of boxer in this movie. Ananya Panday is paired opposite Vijay. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Puri Connect are jointly producing the movie. Charmme Kaur is also playing a crucial part in the film. This movie will witness the first ever alliance between Puri Jagganath and Vijay.
