
The Immortal Ashwatthama is one of the most awaited films of 2021. Director Aditya Dhar revealed the poster of this action-based superhero movie on 11th January. “Raising the bar higher for the superhero genre not only in India but across the world, this film is a high-concept visual spectacle in the making,” the filmmaker had captioned the image on Twitter.

The first shoot location would be Ukraine after which several other international locations would also be used for the shoot. Vicky Kaushal has started prepping for the film, and Sara will begin with her preparations in April,” informs a source. Its was decided to begin the shooting in June but it is now planned to begin in August. Vicky Kaushal, Aditya Dhar, and Ronnie are reuniting for The Immortal Ashwatthama after working in the 2019 military action film, Uri: The Surgical Strike.
Sara Ali Khan will be seen in some hardcore action scenes in the movie and will learn a few forms of martial arts, including MMA. Vicky too will be a part of this training, and their training is expected to go on for at least three months. He will be trained in archery, sword-fighting, and spear-fighting as well.
Labeled as a superhero action film set in the modern world, it is being planned as a trilogy. The trilogy has its roots in the Mahabharata and will see Vicky Kaushal in a mythological character of Ashwatthama, the son of Guru Dronacharya, who was given the gift of immortality.
