Varun Dhawan asks paparazzi to maintain social distance; Responds to a troll who called him ‘privileged’

Varun Dhawan schools paps and shuts down a troll online.

Actor Varun Dhawan and his wife Natasha Dalal returned to Mumbai on Wednesday (21 April) evening from Arunachal Pradesh. They were spotted at the Mumbai airport after shooting for his upcoming project Bhediya.

In a video shared online, the actor can be seen asking the photographers to keep their distance when they tried to get close. “Guys, guys, tum thoda responsible ho jaoge, bheed apne paas rakhoge, bahut galat baat hai,” he can be seen saying. He also refused to pose with a fan owing to COVID-19 safety concerns.

An Instagram user, who mistook the couple to be returning from a vacation, went on to call him ‘privileged’. “You went on vacay and gave the paps the chance to snap, now you come back and complain. Stop showing your privilege when people in your country are dying,” the user commented on a video of the couple.

“Well, your assumption is wrong. I was shooting my film and not on holiday. And what do you mean ‘Gave them a chance?’ How do you not give them a chance? I have people who have also lost their life in COVID. So please keep your assumptions to yourself,” the actor was quick to respond.
