‘Thank you for making us proud’: Allu Arjun congratulates Chiranjeevi after being awarded the Padma Vibhushan

Actor Allu Arjun thanked his uncle and megastar Chiranjeevi for receiving the second highest civilian accolade, the Padma Vibhushan, from the Government of India.

Allu Arjun took to Instagram stories and stated, “My Heartfelt Congratulations to Chiranjeevi garu for being conferred with prestigious honor, #PadmaVibhushan. This is a moment of immense pride for all of us. Thank you for making us proud.”


Chiranjeevi got the prestigious award on Thursday from President Droupadi Murmu, who was joined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The ceremony was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the national capital.

Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi’s wife Surekha, daughter Sushmita, and daughter-in-law, Upasana Kamineni Konidela, all attended the prestigious event in Delhi.

Ram Charan shared some wonderful photos on his official Instagram account, expressing his pleasure in his father with the comment, “Congratulations, Dad. So proud of you. #padmavibhushanchiranjeevi @chiranjeevikonidela.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also held a dinner for the Padma recipients at his home. Chiranjeevi and his family went to dinner.

Chiranjeevi is one of the most influential and successful actors, having worked in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada films. He is recognised for his films ‘Vijetha’, ‘Indra’, ‘Shankar Dada M.B.B.S.’, and, most recently, ‘Bholaa Shankar’. He made his film debut in 1978 with Punadhirallu, and he has since entertained audiences with his diverse acting abilities.

Meanwhile, on the job front, Allu Arjun is preparing for his next action film, Pushpa 2. Sukumar directed ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil.
